Developments
An exciting new lifestyle village is unfolding in the heart of the Free State, incorporating all the elements that the people of this area hold dear.
Bains Game Lodge is situated on 42ha of prime land 2km west of the Bloemfontein border.
It is on this land that the visionary design of Marius Strydom is unfolding. The 24-hour security village will include conference facilities, restaurants
and entertainment, shops, health facilities, and a variety of accommodation options including chalets, apartments and a hotel.
A retirement village is further possibility for the future.
Until recently Bains Game Lodge consisted of conference facilities, two restaurants and a number of chalets, all incorporated in a natural habitat that a
number of game species call home.
Bloemfontein as the City of Roses, is furthermore gaining recognition as the city of conferences. Recently having won a PMR Golden Arrow Award for best accommodation-non-hotel,
Bains Game Lodge aims to even better fulfil the needs of the market in this segment.
The 24-hour security village currently includes development in a number of exciting areas.
The existing 200 beds in the form of chalets have proven far too few, and these facilities are beind upgraded and another 100 beds added.
The Bains Game Lodge Hotel featuring 108 rooms and a brand new reception area is currently under construction. The hotel offers prospective investors the opportunity to buy
rooms in this three star development, and reap the rewards of a fully managed and serviced hotel via rental pool scheme. Development at a later stage aims to extend the
hotel to 324 rooms.
An exclusive block of flats, ranging from studio flats to two-bed roomed flats, is offered as a further option for the investor. Situated within 10km from the university of the
Free State and the business centre but with an idyllic Free State country-side feel, coupled with the 24-hour security of Bains Game Lodge, these flats are sure to appeal to
the discerning buyer.
The existing conference facilities are in the process of being upgraded and extended, offering a variety of conferencing options and venue-hire.
In the planning for the future is the development of a possible townhouse complex and retirement complex, featuring a gym, on-site health practitioners convenience stores, etc.
According to the Managing Director of the two developing companies, Bainsvlei Lodges and Oakleaves Investments, Mr Marius Strydom, the goal is to develop an affordable and
exclusive lifestyle and security complex.
Of course the development will nicely fulfil in some of Bloemfontein's' World Cup 2010 needs, but Mr Strydom sees this as only a phase development, offering teams and supporters
a one-stop security and lifestyle option for their stay in Bloemfontein.
On a more local level the magnitude of this development brings a welcome economic booster for the area, not only in terms of job creation, but also as sound and affordable
investment opportunity. On a environmental level, its is noteworthy that the natural habitat of plants and a number of game species, including springbuck and giraffe, is taken
into careful consideration with each stage of the planning, further contributing to the idyllic beauty of Bains Game Lodge.
